Our Mamafit classes follow the programming of our regular CrossFit classes, but are focused on making sure movements and weights are suitable for the various stages of pregnancy and recovery from birth that each of our Mamas are at. Run at a more manageable time of day for most of our Mamas, our mid-morning classes are run in conjunction with regular CrossFit, making the transition to prescribed weights and full range of movement seamless when the time is right.

With both the owner and general manager of CrossFit Taurus being part of our fit Mama crew, you can be sure that you are in good company and will be taken good care of throughout your mamahood journey!

 

New To CrossFit?

You Will Do Things Correctly... 

We start things slow and you will be taught how to do everything correctly during our on-boarding process. This ensures you know how to lift, carry and hold the different objects and training equipment you will be using in our classes.  Once finished here the coaching doesn't stop. Each and every time you step into the gym you will be under the watchful eye of one of our amazing coaches to ensure you stay on track.  

You Will Make New Friends...   

Let's face it, not all mothers groups put you with people who share the same interests and values as you. Our tribe of Mamas all share the same values in that they value their own health and fitness and are setting a great example for their children by getting them used to being focused on wellbeing from a young age. You know how quickly kids learn and if they see you in a gym everyday chances are they will grow up knowing this is normal.

Efficiency Is Key...   

We don't follow boring routines, there is no crazy dancing and we won't have you riding a bike for an hour straight listening to techno! You will lift weights, you will use different body-weight exercises and you will get a good hit of cardio in each session. Because our workouts combine so many different exercises you will always be challenged and it all fits into a 1 hour class.  

If you've just had kids, when can you start training and is CrossFit good for you?

In short YES you can definitely do CrossFit. We can scale, modify and tailor every workout to suit your current level of fitness.  

You will be surrounded by other Mamas in the class who have been in the same position as you and have done it before. Some started CrossFit post baby and some started before they fell pregnant. Our coaches will be there to guide you every step of the way and will work with and around any limitations or restrictions you may have.
